The introductory section describes the basic techniques of mechanical surface texturing of engineering surfaces. The second part deals with the particular design of the device. It also describes the strength control of loaded components. The economic evaluation is given at the end.
The effect of proteins on friction of artificial articular cartilage
Plachý, Tomáš ; Nečas, David (referee) ; Rebenda, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the composition of synovial fluid on the coefficient of friction of artificial cartilage. The effect of protein concentration and their combination with other components of synovial fluid on the coefficient of friction of CD hydrogels simulating artificial cartilage is observed. All experiments were performed at a constant load of 10 N, speed 10 mm / s, temperature 37 ° C. In experiments investigating the effect of a combination of hyaluronic acid and phospholipids together with proteins, concentrations corresponding to a healthy individual were used. In experiments where the effect of the proteins themselves and their own combinations was investigated, concentrations corresponding to both a healthy individual and patients with advanced osteoarthritis or patients with aseptic release of the prosthesis were used. The work shows that when using the proteins alone, or their combination, there is a decrease in concentration of friction coefficient with increasing concentration. However, if hyaluronic acid alone or phospholipids alone is added to the protein, the coefficient of friction increases. The reduction occurs only after the addition of the combination of acid and phospholipid.
Suitable lubricants for deep drawing of stainless steel
Mück, Jonáš ; Staněk, Vojtěch (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
The intention of this thesis is the experimental evaluation of different lubricants and their suitability for deep drawing of stainless steel 1.4404. The testing method is based on the friction model at the point of drawing edge and retainers. This model corresponds with a structure of testing fixture. The suitability of every single lubricant for this application has been determined by comparison of the output, which is dependance of the strength on the track with the reference results. The testing has been performed on many different samples provided by various manufacturers. The best result was measured with the oil Kalorex AT 650 S, manufactured by AT Oil, which belongs to the group of environmentally harmful lubricants. Based on the results of this experiment we can conclude that chlorine content significantly increases the lubrication capability especially under high pressure. The modification of preparation geometry which presumes the elimination of certain undesirable disturbances accompnaying the experiemnt has been also proposed.
Friction components produced by rapid prototyping
Pečenka, Tomáš ; Škaroupka, David (referee) ; Omasta, Milan (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to make an overview of use of additive technology for production of friction components. The first part is concerned on review of additive methods and type of materials. In the second section are situated applications of this technology for fabrication of friction components. The main goal of last part is research in area of tribology of parts manufactured by additive technology.
Lubrication of flanges of railway vehicles by ecological lubricants
Janovec, Ladislav ; Šperka, Petr (referee) ; Nevrlý, Josef (advisor)
The Aim of this thesis is to search and analytical evaluation of different approaches applied by producers in the field of wheel flanges lubrication of railway vehicles by means of ecological lubricants. The analysis focuses on the cyclical and continuous methods of lubrication of different types of central lubrication systems placed on the railway vehicles.
Reduction of Contact Pairs Friction Losses
Novotný, Marek ; Raffai, Peter (referee) ; Maršálek, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of mechanical efficiency of contact pairs in the crankshaft of the combustion engine. The introductory section focuses on the efficiency of the combustion engine as a whole. In addition, it describes the areas where mechanical losses primarily occur. The following chapters describe mechanism of friction losses, the main factors affecting their amount and the most modern ways to increase mechanical efficiency. In the closing chapter, some basic computing relations, describing the size of mechanical losses are listed. The aim of this thesis is to acquaint the reader with the importance of mechanical efficiency in the area of combustion engines.
Evaluation of lubricants for forming
Svobodová, Hana ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is experimental testing and evaluation of the suitability of lubricants for drawing stainless chromium - nickel austenitic steel X5CrNi18-10 and comparison of the results obtained from the work [51]. The testing was performed by modeling the friction between the traction edge and the retainer, which corresponds to the real production process at ACO Industries. The introductory part of the thesis describes the process of deep drawing, followed by a description of tribology and the effect of friction. The individual types and properties of lubricants are described in more detail. The main part of the work deals with the testing of lubricants. The results are then described and evaluated.
In-situ Study of Surface Topography Changes in Elastohydrodynamic Contact
Šperka, Petr ; Dzimko, Marián (referee) ; Návrat, Tomáš (referee) ; Dobeš, Petr (referee) ; Hartl, Martin (advisor)
This dissertation thesis deals with elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) of surfaces with real roughness. Systematic study of surface harmonic components behaviour, during their passage of the EHL contact, by other authors led to retrieval of a uniform principle according which individual harmonic components deform inside the contact. Although the amplitude attenuation model can provide rapid tool for more accurate surface assessment in design process it has not been validated on real surfaces till now. The thesis represents pioneering work on quantitative analysis of real surfaces EHD measurements. It contains original and new results with real and model roughness features that in many cases confirm theoretical expectations. Deeper understanding of surface roughness behaviour inside EHL contact, which is typical for machine parts like bearings, gears, cams etc., can help to improve design process of the components and ultimately enable machines and equipment to work with lower energy requirements and higher durability.
Influence of fuel additives for passenger cars
Obytová, Eliška ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the addition of automotive fuels and their effects. The aim was to evaluate the function and efficiency of fuel additives present in the fuel at gas stations, and subsequently to improve the fuels accordingly by adding additional individual chemical compounds. The theoretical part explains the concepts, functions and processes related to fuel additives and the basics of tribotechnology. The practical part deals with the process of testing the properties of fuels, their functions, additional additives and its impact for practical use.
